Belarus-Pakistan concert held in Minsk

MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) –  The Embassy of Pakistan in Minsk, in collaboration with the Gymnasium-College under the Belarusian State Academy of Music held a mesmerizing concert titled “Music without borders: Belarus and Pakistan”, BelTA has learned.

The event took place at the Gymnasium on 25 April. The event was attended by over 250 guests including faculty members, students and media representatives. The concert featured performances by talented students of the Gymnasium, who played musical tunes of  Belarus and Pakistan.

The legendary Pakistani musicians, Ashraf Sharif Khan (Sitar player) and Shahbaz Hussain ( Tabla player) presented traditional Pakistani music mesmerizing the audience.

The audience was also treated to a fusion of traditional Belarusian and Pakistani melodies, highlighting the harmonious blend of two diverse cultures, magically transcending the borders and uniting the hearts.

Ambassador of Pakistan Sajjad Haider Khan thanked the director of the Gymnasium-College for organizing the beautiful event in the most befitting manner. He also applauded the musicians, performers and attendees who made the concert a resounding success.

The director of the College expressed her gratitude for the Embassy for its initiative and for bringing the Pakistani musicians offering an opportunity to create fusion music.

The two sides agreed to continue future collaborations for promotion of cultural ties  further strengthening the bonds of friendship between Belarus and Pakistan.
